England has pretty similar weather to Seattle.

How much you pack is of course an individual decision. You will need to pack for the lower 60s to mid-90s although most of the time it is likely to be in the 70s. But be prepared for this range and rain as well. We will have one day in Bournemouth which is a nice beach town. Its beach is nice and sandy and there is a long paved path for bike riding and a long park for walking. Is it important to have a different outfit every day, or are you ok with demonstrating your frugalness? My wife and I just took carry ons to Ireland and we still didn't wear everything we took. Remember that we should all be friends within a couple of days and no one really cares if they've see the same shirt several times.
You can't go wrong with layers.
Once we arrive at our stop for the night, the hotel staff and bus driver will do most of the bag handling. You can opt to take the bag with you as the driver pulls it out of the bus or have the hotel staff bring it to your room. Colm will hand out room keys and tell you what the schedule is for the next day. This will include breakfast and dinner times, departure time, and baggage handling times.
Typically if you put your bag outside your hotel door an hour before departure the hotel staff will take it down to the lobby. There the bags will be stacked up and about 20 minutes before departure the driver will start to load the bags from the lobby. We typically took our own bags down to make that 20 minute deadline.
